Q: Where are the systems?
When you first see EmulationStation you may wonder why you don't see systems like the SNES or Game Boy- worry not- they are installed on the system, roms just need to be added to their respective rom folders before they will become visible.
Q: Are the game files (ROMs) included?
Other than the shareware ports, ROMs are not pre-installed. Refer to the Instructions to add your ROMs.
Q: Ok, so where do I get ROMs?
We can't provide links to any of the websites that host ROM files.
Q: How do I turn off the Rastendo?
It is important to remember that the Raspberry Pi is a computer. Always shutdown the system properly before hitting the power switch. Failure to do so could damage the Raspberry Pi or corrupt the microSD Card.
To shutdown the Rastendo, press the start button while at the main menu. Select Quit and then Shutdown System. Wait a few seconds until the green light in back stops flashing, and then press the on/off switch on the USB cable.
Q: Can I use my PS3/PS4/Xbox 360/Xbox One controller wirelessly?
It is possible with the right adapter, however, for maximum reliability and ease of use, Rastendo does not support wireless controllers out of the box.
